KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — The Business Events Council Malaysia has urged the government to consider reopening business events or meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector urgently, under strict adherence to the standard operating procedures .

In a statement today, acting chairman Datuk Vincent Lim said the BE sector contributed over RM27.5 billion to the country’s gross domestic product in 2019. “The BE industry has been badly affected during over 18 months of restrictions.
