Dirty hydrogen to keep coal in the game?

Is there an unequivocal statement from government that it will be generated by renewables? They like the idea of hydrogen as unlike EVs hydrogen Is easier to tax and fuel companies still make $$. Home solar and batteries isn't the cash cow that is excisable fuels.

Fossil powered hydrogen is a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME! It’s moronically stupid idea

Fingers crossed that's a viable technology? It seems viable in theory but that in no way means it will be competitive.

Which type of Hydrogen? Fossil H2 or renewable H2? If Angus’s finger prints are on it, I suggesting that this may be his latest attempt to green wash some more gas. H2 made from natural gas is worse than burning gas, unless somehow magically there is a decent CCS solution.

the wrong sort of Hydrogen...the world market will not accept Hydrogen generated from the burning of fossil fuels ..

Sydney shut down construction for 2 weeks… didn’t fix anything. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
