The app was launched on the app store in September and is expected to be available on Android soon. volograms

In the age of technology, our lives are constantly evolving to help us explore our interests and develop our skills. The Irish start-up Volograms have come up with a solution that simplifies the way we capture 3-D video.

This process involves dozens of cameras surrounding the subject, recording a 360-degree video to capture the dimensions and volume. However, Volograms’ innovative app makes the process of 3D imagery so much easier and is available to anyone with an iPhone via its free app Volu.As the phone camera only captures video from one angle, the app uses artificial intelligence to estimate a person's 3D shape and texture in areas that the camera can't see.

Volograms’ CEO and co-founder Rafael Pagés told CNN Business the company aims to make augmented reality and virtual reality content creation available to the everyday consumer.
