Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says former Finance Minister Mathias Cormann has called on Australia to “be amongst other countries” introducing a carbon price.

Mr Clennell said on Friday night Prime Minister Scott Morrison dined with Mr Cormann, the now secretary-general of the OECD. “He’s been the subject of comment, recent days, for having something of a conversion on the carbon price issue, calling on Australia to … be amongst other countries introducing a carbon price,” he told Sky News Australia.

“Scott Morrison said, well, he’s in a different role now, he’s representing many countries, not just Australia’s interests.”
