The Australian property market is set to hit record auction volumes this weekend as vendors race to list their properties before year end, according to Economist Eleanor Creagh.

“It’s really that end of restrictions that’s fuelling this confidence to list,” Ms Creagh told Sky News Australia.

“All this increase in listings is fuelling of course an increase in auction volumes as well – this weekend we’re heading into … one of the largest auction volumes on record.” Ms Creagh said all this activity has led to the property market breaking another record for the year as weekly sales ticked over the 8,000 mark.
