“Such profiteering is completely unacceptable on fuel prices. It is a barbaric act of cruelty on a civil population.”Mr McPartland said the Government gave the public a false impression that fuel would drop from midnight on Wednesday. “It has given people a false impression that prices would reduce immediately, which was impossible as excise on those supplies had already been paid.”
