Songwriters, singers, and other “no-work, no-pay” workers in the local music industry have poured their support for the LUNAS Partylist group for the May 2022 polls.

Workers in the so-called “gig” economy were among the first to be severely affected by the lockdowns during the pandemic, as most of them rely on gigs in pubs, bars, and other public places and events for their income.

“Nakaraos ako sa mga bayarin dahil walang iba kundi ang LUNAS Partylist sa pangunguna ni Brian Yamsuan ang tumulong sa akin at sa pamilya ko,” Cruz said. Singer-songwriter Paolo “Mister Acoustic” Santos, his bassist Joel Guarin and drummer Stanley Seludo; Bradley Holmes of the Shamrock Band; singer-songwriter Pido Lalimarmo; singer-songwriter Thor Dulay; singer Rizza Gonzaga; violinist Juliet Tan; bassist-songwriter Jhon Bunda; band personal assistant Aris Caingat; and Kiko Versoza, Shie Esparrago, Muriel dela Paz, Donna Ricafrente and Espie Estanislao of the LUNA Band were among the musical artists who have expressed their support for the party.
