The Cannabis Regulatory Commission says N.J. is short by 100,000 pounds of weed to meet the demands of medical and recreational marijuana.

to sell adult use weed from eight alternative treatment centers that now sell medical marijuana.

“We’re a year and half into this since the November 2020 constitutional amendment to open the adult weed market in New Jersey,” Scutari said in a separate phone call to NJ Advance Media. “Self-imposed deadlines have passed.” In a Friday note to investors, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Pablo Zuanic wrote that 100,000 pounds of marijuana is “worth as much as $400 million more than the size of the state’s current medical market – certainly, not something that could be achieved in a matter of weeks.”

“We can only wonder about the motivations/intentions of the CRC and constant delays,” wrote Zuanic. “Without having all the facts, it would seem the CRC may want to delay the recreational head start for medical incumbents, in order to narrow the time gap with new social equity applicants starting operations.”

Brown said during the two-year pandemic, “there were no long-term closures of facilities, no market-wide shortages of product, and patients continued to access their medicine.” Brown said the state’s “most vulnerable patients” were at risk and the consequences could be dire if they can’t get medical marijuana.

In the land of cruelly excessive real estate taxes, why is NJ Bull Shitting on this revenue windfall?

'Blame Joe Biden and the lizard pedophiles who rum the democratic deep state who farm babies for their life blood'- someone's middle aged uncle, 2022

If we can’t grow it is it really legal though ?🤷🏼‍♂️

No it’s totally good.

It sure is.

So recreational weed is an urgent matter, but same day voting rights to this Senate leader can take a back seat, he sees no reason for it. Maybe recreational weed is urgent, but he should light one up and provide and protect voting rights 🤔🤔🤨

Greedy jersey politicians not getting enough money out of it that's why...

CIA needs time to switch drug assets over. Can't turn weed directly into crypto yet. Still need buyers.

I’m just glad something is getting done. These hurdles imposed by the NewJerseyCRC are ridiculous and have hurt both business and our state.

NY dispensaries will be open before NJ, then they’ll cry that NJ residents are paying tax dollars in another state. Get your shit together already.

What a surprise, the government of NJ can't do anything right again. I think they're smoking too much of the product

If JackOFF got elected you and all your reefer addict chums would all be in jail

Murphy and state legislators are fucking this up

For those making it partisan, Christie blocked making it legal for *years* just in case he ran for President and he wanted red state votes. So… *But yeah, the delay is ridiculous. As is no legal edibles.

OMG. The capacity to meet demand exists! The ATC’s and growers are tired of having to dump product below cost (due to a hilarious state-mandated one-year expiration) because they keep extending the date…which would just cause more product loss.

Look at the taxes we are missing out on. There were lines at every place last week in Massachusetts. GovMurphy resign

If the state of NJ legalized weed, but can’t get the market going, they need to let NJ residents grow their own plants. It IS the Garden State. Free market says what?

It’s going to be to expensive anyway it’ll fail just like in California

it's government incompetence at its finest. another feather in the cap for GovMurphy administration!
