Companies such as Archer Aviation, whose eVTOL aircraft is seen here, are working on electric-powered aircraft that take off and land vertically like helicopters.LOS ANGELES - As urban traffic gets more miserable, entrepreneurs are looking to a future in which commuters hop into"air taxis" that whisk them over clogged roads.

Neighborhood parking garage rooftops or shopping mall lots could serve as departure or arrival pads for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft. Lol not in backward South Africa .... can you imagine rhe chaos.

3 problems here. 1) a new licencing mafia will arise... 2) they will just land wherever they please and vehicles will need to swerve and brake anyway.... no congestion solution... 3) the current taxi industry will burn them all....

They must allow people to work from home😁

And the current taxi mafia will want 75% shareholding and contracted employment for their drivers. Scary + +

Oh sure I'd love to see our traffic drivers in the air ........
