It's an issue that's affecting all of us in Denver, but none more so than downtown businesses.

— It’s an issue that’s affecting all of us in Denver, but none more so than downtown businesses.

DeCastro is seeing more and more crime in the area, and he said it’s hurting business. The two establishments have only been open about eight months, but still feel the impact. Saturday night, Denver police responded to another shooting in the area near 16th Street and Wazee Street, just about four blocks away from El Tejano and Loaded, but DeCastro said he’s not shocked.

Maybe the business owners can form vigilance committees as was done in San Francisco around 1850. No hangings or breaking any other law. Just defense.

I don’t know anyone who goes downtown anymore

Thanks to the mayor for allowing the violent protests of 2020. Cops can’t work with their hands tied behind their backs. Criminals have no fear.

1at time in LoDo? This is clickbait shit. It’s the same crime level as before. It’s the old red light district. It’s the party district.

El Tejano? maybe the issue is that we don’t even know it exists lmfao.. I’ve been living dt for 4 years and this is my first time hearing of this establishment

MARK BRNOVICH HAS DONE NOTHING TO FIGTH TO INSURE ARIZONA 2020 VOTE IS OVERTURNED IN FAVOR OF PRESIDENT TRUMP HIS LACK OF ACTION LEADS ME TO BELIEVE HE IS A TYPICAL RINO IN REPUBLICAN PARTY THAT NEEDS TO BE REJECTED LIKE A BAD APPLE VOTE NO AGAINST HIM IN THE COMING ELECTION

20th and market has always been like that. It’s nothing new lol. I was a bouncer at Lodo’s from 2008-2012 and I saw everything he described in this article lol. But not saying it’s right, not saying it doesn’t need to change, just saying it’s nothing new lol

One upon a time going downtown was fun and not even a little scary.

Yeah i have no intention on going downtown anytime soon

Can we start throwing the criminals in prison

We have a mayor and council that won’t let the police do their jobs effectively, police who are discouraged to the point they don’t want to do their jobs, and a catch and release justice system that ensures any criminals who are caught just get to waltz back onto the streets

Get out of Denver.

What is the Mayor doing about it?

Very complicated issue with contributions of GovofCO & PeteLeeColorado making Fentanyl more available, Summer of Destruction increasing a sense of danger making safety a non-priority & a 2nd Great Depression being ushered in by POTUS SenatorBennet SenatorHick & DNC policies
