Apple wouldn’t say which cars would be compatible.

Apple can’t seem to build its own car, so it’ll just have to take over everyone else’s.

Will your car be ready for this more expansive version of CarPlay? Because the car companies certainly aren’t.

Why are they increasing the cost of the car with clutter that no one uses 90% of the time. The display is fine for basic information and parking but otherwise this is too much.

Que…The apple car

Just no

“Apple itself wasn’t ready to reveal which car companies are on board, promising to announce later this year which vehicles would support this more maximalist version of CarPlay” Wonderful reporting from the Verge as usual. 🙄 They said it during WWDC.

Es Apple su tecnología es perfecta

Meanwhile volvo fully uses android automotive infotainment. 💀💀

Customers can’t figure out if you they will buy a new car that wont let Apple take over all the screens…. The make will regulate its self.

Which isn’t a bad thing, hope Android auto gets on board soon too. Car software sucks period

They should, at least apple will keep it working and updated

They should

only way they'll do it is if they find a way to charge you for it

This is a requirement on my next car, so I hope so

Looks like they stole Speedtest interface lol.

It will work great until they make some arbitrary change and kick you off their platform for non-compliance

It can be useful when needed, but most of time this is just information overload… 😵‍💫

GMC won’t let it happen because it will cut into their $15 a month up charge for basic features like weather.

Android auto are a lot better

Seeing how bad automakers have been at making software, they should just let Apple handle it as long as Apple doesn’t ask for licensing fees. How Apple license the software will determine if it makes or breaks with the automakers.

I think that Hyundai needs to figure this out. Because I see this as a must have feature.

Would it work in existing models with car play

You can quote me right now. The screens and touch things are the stupidest idea ever until there are fully autonomous cars. This is so distracting for drivers. You have to actually look at the screen. Old school analog controls are tactile. A screen has none. fail engineerfail

Its so bleh

Is this like iTunes moment? When music companies find it hard to tackle Apple's move in Music.

That's why they are building their own car

I like CarPlay a lot and I’ve always wondered what CarPlay might look like if it had full control over the car. After seeing the sneak peek at WWDC, next-gen CarPlay is what I look forward to most now. All manufacturers should get on board.

What is pictured would be the perfect dash. Show me where to sign up and i'll show you my empty wallet 😉

They should
