Europe wants to fix it so you’ll only need one charger for your devices, all of which could use the same USB-C cable.

Nearly everyone knows the feeling of buying a brand-new device only to learn that your charging cable from the older model isn’t compatible.

The EU law, which is part of a broader effort to make products more sustainable, will “make consumers’ lives easier,” said aIt came after the European Parliament and European Council reached a deal on the rules. USB C for standard adapters for next 10 or 15 years.enough is enough.

I doubt they'll need to. Apple is the only one out of step. Why would they have the added expense of making two types of charging ports instead of making them all the same?
