A new effort is underway to bring jobs to Chicago’s south suburbs.

The Hubs is a collaborative network of metals, machinery, and equipment manufacturers who are committed to developing news business opportunities in the area.

"The Hubs approach to increasing the capacity of local manufacturers, identifying new supply chains, and collectively pursuing contracts and customers — represents a game changing, economic development strategy," Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle said.Firms that are interested in joining the Hubs can get more information on the Southland Development Authority

I can think of several manufacturers that left Crook County and relocated to Indiana to escape unrealistic property taxes….

Metals hub? Is this where the criminals cash in on their stolen catalytic converters? Preckwinkle is now a fence for stolen property.

Remember everyone - instead of making a biz climate attractable for all, politicians need to instead carve these special deals w/ taxpayer $$ so they can appear on camera/print and act as if they are the true source of job making
