Allied Pilot Association members tells Fox News Digital that American Airlines' handling of the IT system failure was a 'pretty blatant violation' of pilot contracts.

"Affected flights are those removed then non-contractually added to pilots’ schedules in July," the Allied Pilots Association sent in an email to members on Wednesday. "APA steadfastly maintains that management had no right to add trips [back] to pilots’ schedules.

American Airlines has agreed to give pilots three times normal pay for picking up affected flights from the 4th of July weekend IT system failure. "Unfortunately for [American], the bad thing was when they decided to put back all those trips 12 hours later," oneand APA member also told Fox News Digital, "which is a pretty blatant violation."
