Finding a new place to eat that meets your expectations is like hitting the jackpot and for keen foodies it's almost as good as winning the lottery. Almost.
The second item on the menu I knew I had to try was the 'Squeaky Cheese' burger, aka, a halloumi burger. Depending on the way they're cooked, halloumi burgers are either the best thing ever or the saddest excuse for a burger ever. The sight alone of the towering burger that took me a minute to figure out how to actually go about devouring this thing was enough to impress. About half a dozen chunky pieces of fried halloumi were stacked in between two burger buns with plenty of sauces and salad.
I'm a big fan of calamari so when I saw the option to order the 'Fat Panda Fries' that were basically loaded fries topped with spring onions, heaps of aioli and crispy pieces of squid, I had to grab some. Like the burger, the chefs don't scrimp on the portion sizes at all. The burger alone cost £7.50, the fries, £7.00. For those who don't fancy chucking £15 at it, they do offer a midweek of a smash burger and fries for £6.
