Here's what's happening at San Francisco's most famous building.

55,600-square-foot addition will be built on the Washington Street site of the property, the current site of a one-story annex that houses Vietnamese restaurant, and add six stories to the building, called 3 Transamerica. The addition will include 49,999 square feet of office uses and 5,601 square feet of ground-floor retail. The addition will feature large, contiguous floor-length windows.

The building's primary art deco/Moderne facade along Sansome Street will be retained. The plan includes a 1,250-square-foot privately owned public open space adjacent to the Transamerica Redwood Park as well.“At Shvo, we are focused on buying iconic properties that evoke an emotional reaction in tenants.
