The local stock market halted its slide after bargain hunters started picking up cheaper stocks.

The main index added 25.07 points or 0.38 percent to close at

“Philippine shares bounced back amid lighter trading volumes as investors awaited more guidance from Fed Chair Jerome Powell on the central bank’s tightening stance,” said Regina Capital Development Corporation Managing Director Luis Limlingan.
