The Bay Area recorded considerable growth in tech office leasing volume the first half of this year even as tech sector office leasing remained relatively stagnant nationwide.

At 4.85 million, the Bay Area was far and away the nationwide leader for tech office leasing on a square foot basis for the first half of this year, CBRE's data shows: Washington, D.C., was second at roughly 1.5 million square feet. Colin Yasukochi
