Horseware Ireland chief executive Mark Saunders says the company is aiming to maximise its potential after a restructuring and refocus on its core equine products business.

Mark Saunders admits that he didn’t know a huge amount about the equestrian industry when he first joined Horseware Ireland. The Dubliner had worked in food and retail throughout his career, so moving to the Dundalk-based equestrian accessories company in 2017 was a new departure.

Five years on, he’s now chief executive of a company that’s growing rapidly. This year, it will deliver close to €50 million in sales, while Saunders is forecasting the business ...
