A man mistakenly received a payment of almost $250,000 from Google – even though he hadn’t done any work for the company.

Sam Curry, a staff security engineer at cryptocurrency company Yuga Labs, described the baffling payment on his verified Twitter account on Tuesday. “It’s been a little over 3 weeks since Google randomly sent me $249,999 and I still haven’t heard anything on the support ticket,” wrote Curry. “Is there any way we could get in touch @Google?” “It’s OK if you don’t want it back,” he added.

Unfortunately for Curry, it seems Google is working to get the money back. Google told CNN in a statement that the mistaken payment was a result of “human error.” “Our team recently made a payment to the wrong party as the result of human error,” wrote a Google spokesperson in an email to CNN. “We appreciate that it was quickly communicated to us by the impacted partner, and we are working to correct it.

Employee after receiving that 200,000 paycheck for doing absolutely nothing to provide the company:

When I was 7, we went to the bank to put some money in my savings. When they updated my book it said I had $333,000,000. I should have just kept my mouth shut. :P

Sounds like Republican lawmakers.

Your creator decides to bless u and u choose to make it public ....he will take it back

ghnewssummary Mistakes like this🙄

Okay, maybe that's why Google is a great company.🤣🤣🤣

Well good for him for being honest and letting Google know they made a mistake. If Google want their money back, they should at least compensate this honest man for the inconvenience they caused him and apologize. That would be the fair thing to do.

Good for him

Hh sleep with the rest of the money

Is the man outta town?

If Google mistakenly send d guy, then d guy would mistakenly disappear! A test 4 Google map though!

Uh can I get that mistake please🙏

Probably just sent them their salary instead of their sign on bonus by mistake.

Give us the exact amount no estimation no rounding off, smh

How much did the government send to people that aren’t citizens?

I'll betcha that was MY work!

Happend to my uncle once. Never saw him again

Hope he didn’t fall for it

it's not hard to believe , last year a company sent me a salary of an year in one month , i withdraw it all and i was silent until this tweet.

He mistakenly spent it.

God abeg o 😂😂

Funny

The guy probably thought that he had won one of those fake sweepstakes that one can learn about from Googling the word 'scam.'

Ok

DID HE RETURN THE CHECK? WHY NOT DONATE IT FOR A GOOD CAUSE!

Did he Google it back?🤣

SMDH!

Giving back to the society policy

Was this man a Biden?

Bing Search: “who should I send this money too?”

And what about me

He is blessed

Lucky man I would withdraw that amount real quick and disappear 😂

Cool

Close account and vanish

I can do nothing for $250,000. 😎

Wish someone mistakenly deposits that much amount of money in my account; then will be rich for a few days 😅

Did he mistakenly return the 250,000$ to Google🤣🤣🤣🤣

We don't buy bitcoin We earn bitcoin From Mining I'm ready to show 10 lucky people on how to earn 0.1BTC ($2,000) and more daily! No referral No withdrawal fees If interested, kindly send a DM

I'll have it. I've done enough searches to keep them in business for a while yet.

Just having and using a GMail account makes that amount reasonable....🤣🤣🤣 Oh yes, I am waiting for my check.

Why it's time to start paying with $2 bills | CNN BusinessInflation has made it hard to pay for much with a buck these days. Wouldn't it make more sense to start paying with $2 bills instead? If they're not worth like $50 a piece, my dad would tell me to keep them. If it means more burden on tax payers why not.

An Indian tycoon just ousted Jeff Bezos as world's second-richest person | CNN BusinessJeff Bezos just lost his status as the world's second-richest person, dropping to No. 3 as Indian business mogul Gautam Adani rapidly climbs the ranks of Bloomberg's Billionaire Index. At least we don’t have to see Adani’s six pack abs. Common Indians get poorer by the day as India's biggest defaulter's loans are written off by the banks. Shame. Modi = Adani.
