Phoenix-based semiconductor maker Onsemi said on Monday that it would “wind down” one of its legacy divisions and refocus on its core offerings.
Onsemi said it had approved an exit plan for the division “generally associated” with the Quantenna business line, the company wrote inThis Quantenna division is part of the Advanced Solutions Group segment and represented less than 3% of Onsemi’s consolidated revenue in 2021, the company said. Onsemi said it is evaluating employee severance costs and contract termination costs, but it does not expect them to be significant. Onsemi did not return a request for comment on the number of employees it expects to terminate in conjunction with the division closing.
