Sales at Stripe’s Dublin-based unit reached $2.26 billion last year, an increase of 66 per cent as the online payments firm doubled its headcount in Ireland ahead of a slowdown in 2022.

Newly filed accounts show the operation, which covers the EMEA and APAC regions, shrank its losses significantly last year amid significant growth. Founded in 2010, Stripe employs more than 8,000 people globally and last year reported revenues of over $12 billion.
