Marc Andreessen doubles down on California — 'the ruins of a once great civilization' venture

Billionaire investor Marc Andreessen said on Tuesday that he thought of leaving California during the pandemic but instead decided to double down on it and stay.in a series of tweetsAndreessen tweeted that California is like"Rome in maybe 250 AD, we live amidst an enormous flowering of culture and creativity, but the roads are becoming unsafe and nobody is quite sure why."

This comes amid a shift of a number of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and engineers to locations outside of the Bay Area during the pandemic.
