Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has disconnected facilities belonging to the Niger state government for failing to pay current and outstanding energy bills. The company disconnected Government House, House of Assembly, General Hospital in Minna, IBB Specialist Hospital, State Water Board, and the State Secretariat are among the facilities affected by the disconnection.

The company disconnected Government House, House of Assembly, General Hospital in Minna, IBB Specialist Hospital, State Water Board, and the State Secretariat are among the facilities affected by the disconnection. It was learnt that the government reached an agreement with the firm in August to pay its current and outstanding debts.

At the time of this report, power supply to all the various offices and departments had not been restored.
