About 30 employees at an Amazon warehouse in Joliet joined the protest Tuesday afternoon, according to an organizer's estimate.

In a statement, company spokesperson Barbara Agrait said Amazon values employee feedback and is “always listening.”

The organization said more than 600 workers have signed a petition calling for stronger health and safety policies at the facility as well as the increased base pay rate.
