We have incredible volunteers and can always use more! If somebody wants to come volunteer for helping with inventory, especially at Christmas time, we definitely need help. Most of the women are dealing with drinking and drug issues; they might have detoxed, been to jail, been homeless, but they’re trying really, really hard. They are referred by different programs, and we don’t have social workers, so we work in tandem with another agency to do our best.
I had never worked retail before this. People don’t understand how hard people work. Nobody is gonna die if I don’t it, but it is hard work, a lot of physical and energetic labor.
