Fresh off the success of “Top Gun: Maverick,” David Ellison, one of Hollywood’s wealthiest heirs, has raised a new round of capital to expand deeper into animation, videogames and sports-related programming

although Mr. Ellison’s company will continue to have the right to finance and produce films in the lucrative Mission: Impossible, Star Trek and Transformers franchises for Paramount.
