Malaysian Association of Hotels says the industry has taken action by starting to upskill and reskill staff.

WHILE Malaysians are now enjoying the freedom of travelling and contributing to the tourism industry’s recovery, some still struggle with a shortage of manpower to cope with the higher demand. This is due to many tourism sector workers having left their jobs during the Covid-19 pandemic when the country’s borders were closed and even local travel restricted.
