Members of the Charlottetown and Cross Roads fire departments battle smoke and flames billowing out of a building on Mason Road in Stratford on Oct. 17. - Dave StewartSTRATFORD, P.E.I. — Robert McMillan said it was hard to process what he was feeling as flames burst through a wall where his pottery studio once stood.

Shortly after 1 p.m., multiple fire departments responded to the blaze that broke out in an industrial building on Mason Road housing four tenants: the P.E.I. Reach Foundation, Robert McMillan Pottery, as well as landscaping and painting businesses.Mike Cassidy, who owns the building, said when he arrived on scene, his first thoughts were how grateful he was that everyone got out safely and how quickly first responders arrived.
