Two businesses that are a few miles from one another have been damaged in Kent. In one case, a car smashed into the front of a building.

KIRO 7 obtained this surveillance video from the owner of a Cigar King store in Kent that shows a car ramming the storefront.KENT, Wash. — Two businesses that are a few miles from one another have been damaged in Kent.Both locations that were damaged are tobacco businesses.

The first business, EZ Tobacco Plus, is on West Meeker Street near 64th Avenue South. The glass on the back door was shattered there, but a thick metal grid attached to the door stopped anyone from getting inside.The damage there is more extensive, with much of the glass on a large front window broken.

The owner of the business said he was alerted by his burglar alarm at 3 a.m., when a car rammed the front of the building.Nothing was stolen. Surveillance video of the car ramming the storefront was given to Kent police. The business owner said he believed more than one person was in the car.VIDEO: Tobacco businesses damaged in Kent
