Jeffrey Allen Marcussen, a former ticket office executive for the Phoenix Suns, has been sentenced to 12 months in jail and three years' supervised probation for his role in a ticket resale scheme.Marcussen had worked for the NBA team for over 15 years from 2004 to 2019 when he resigned. Court documents show that Marcussen unlawfully sold unused Suns tickets on third-party ticket vendor site StubHub for his own profit between August 2017 and February 2019.

During their investigation, authorities also found that he failed to pay taxes on the proceeds, creating a tax liability to the Arizona Department of Revenue for $11,818 for his 2017 and 2018 taxes.on one count of fraud schemes and artifices, one count of theft, and two counts of false return.
