South San Francisco-based See's Candies has its sights set on opening a new regional headquarters in the Sacramento area, reported theThe chocolate company plans to turn the ground floor of the building at 5499 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, formerly a Patelco Credit Union branch, into a new retail store as well. The regional office would be housed in the upper levels of the 10,621-square-foot building.

The building's owner told the Business Times that building plans have been submitted to the city. Renovations on the interior and exterior of the building in the Sacramento suburb are estimated to cost seven figures. "It's a key location in the greater Sacramento market," Terry Tallen, CEO of building owner Tallen Capital Partners, told the Business Times."My understanding is they want to get open as soon as possible."

See's Candies turned 100 years old last year, with its first store having opened in Los Angeles in 1921. See's opened its first San Francisco store in 1936, according to theSFGATE OPINIONS

I have been to their store in South San Francisco. They are good chocolate but quite sweet for Scandinavians. You Americans love sugar too much.
