Shady Rays, a Kentucky-based independent, will open the doors of its first Colorado brick-and-mortar store in Lone Tree in November.

The location at 8401 Park Meadows Center Dr. on the second floor of the Park Meadows shopping mall is set to service shoppers ahead of Black Friday shopping. It will be the brand’s second retail space. “Our Denver customer-base is strong and their affinity for Shady Rays is evident in their interests in both our sunglasses and snow goggle collections,” said CEO Chris Ratterman. “I’m proud to call Colorado our next home.”

The new store, which will span more than 1,200 square feet of “buying and trying space,” will employ a team of 10. The grand opening next month will offer patrons up to 60% off of all shades, prizes for the first 50 customers, free merchandise giveaways and more. “On the heels of the success of our flagship store in Lexington, Ky., it’s been part of our long-term growth strategy to open additional retail outlets in key cities across the country,” Ratterman said.
