The Jewish Community Federation is close to hitting its massive capital campaign goal — years ahead of schedule.

The Jewish Community Federation has reached $220 million in its Centennial Fund capital campaign, the organization said, putting it within striking distance of its overall $250 million goal.

“The overwhelming generosity of our donors humbles me,” said Joy Sisisky, Federation CEO, in a statement. “Each gift represents a seed planted for future generations. The Centennial campaign is Federation personified, a center for Jewish philanthropy working to secure and strengthen the Jewish people in the Bay Area, Israel, and around the world. It is the intersection of our past, present, and future.

Founded in 1910 as the Federation of Jewish Charities, the Jewish Community Federation supports causes and provides services across the Bay Area.
