‘A win for Australia’: Business hails Albanese-Xi meeting

The head of Australia’s business lobby has welcomed the Albanese government’s “tremendous reset” with China ahead of a high-stakes meeting between Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday evening.was a “win for Australia”, hailing its potential to kickstart the economic relationship with Australia’s biggest trading partner.

Westacott, who has strongly criticised the government’s planned industrial relations changes to encourage multi-employer bargaining, was effusive about the government’s foreign policy achievements.
