Savanna fire management involves lighting a patchwork of fires early in the cooler dry-season months, with the aim of preventing large, destructive fires later in the year. Savanna fire burning is conducted across large areas of the Top End to reduce intense fires late in the year. The company also trades in carbon credits, delivering almost 7 million ACCUs to the Energy Reduction Fund since 2010.

So it’s all straight forward. Make money by lighting fires and save the planet at the same time in a corporate manner. Why would anyone be suspicious of such an idea?
