If this ever flies, will they mandate this involuntarily for any available space in your backyard to alleviate homelessness? A real NIMBY movement will then arise.

Residents and visitors already can't find parking on the street.

Isn't that called a guesthouse?

Why would someone spend 300k for a shed?

Shantytowns here we come.

These are nice looking but the price tag is 🤑🤮 . BOXABL is a much better value.

No.

Not what we need Just cringe bottom line

Bonus for Praeses 1 add.atts because they obviously wouldn’t

The 'back house' is violation of zoning restrictions in most municipalities. Adding density can strain infrastructure like water, sewers, electricity, and parking space.

O brasil sempre fez isso, e o faz até hoje. Questão de situação econômica.

Panopticonomy you need to leave California

I am RTing this article & advertisement b/c I'm interested in small homes. I will also now support ads b/c the new ownership is more responsible and transparent with us, the users and your clients. I support elonmusk & when the media takes his lead re; transparency we all win.

Is it allowed by regulations?

Why does it appear that Australian news media has turned off the comments section for their stories. Seems pretty fishy to me. Seems like the smear campaign is on full speed now.

Hey Elon, how do you feel about the Media trying to burry the Twitter File story? I have started going to mainstream media news sites and posting links the the trurh about all of this. I think everyone here should bombard all news media site comment sections with the truth.

who wouldn't want a quarter of a million bucks shed so you can have stranger living in ur own backward

I like this

Zoning will kill this. And if it doesn’t, it’s just a windfall for current residents that destroys the neighborhood character.

Most subdivisions don't allow this... It's gonna be a long battle

Would have to be very selective in doing so, most place’s subdivision ordinances don’t allow for two homes on one lot.

And then people will want to rent office spaces in those little houses and after you get the whole real estate mafia after your ass you'll understand why they freak out at the idea of you offering square meters to people in need.

great idea

These types of homes should be zoned across the nation, around the world. Would love my own stand-alone 500ish sqft all TeslaSolar dwelling on a mini lot.

boxabl at $60,000 makes this look like a money grab…

. BOXABL will eat his lunch

Who takes shots with elon's starlink?

I've been considering building a sort of micro-trailer park in my back yard, parking 2 or 3 travel trailers back there, connecting them to the city sewer, and renting them out as AirBNBs.

This will never work in Florida. All buildings have to withstand 120 mile an hour winds in most areas. I think Dade, Broward and Palm Beach are 150 miles an hour.

Well that's really a trend ! Where i'm living plenty have built or build an extension of their house, Guess that solution is better

That's great for me. Better than sleeping on the couch when I upset my wife.

Not allowed by most subdivision’s HOA.

The idea of potentially having multiple places that are JUST mine across the US is pretty cool. Work inside & play outside! I’m from Manhattan NY, small spaces are good w me✔️Samara

Nothing new, was happening before covid. Just a way for people to house their aging parents or now a way for people to add a rental property at a very low cost.

This way we can all employ illegal workers to be domestic slaves! Yea!

What a nice guy! 💩

Those prices though 🫣. Starting at $300k for a backyard modular home. Gtfo
