A new biotech incubator has been pitched south of San Francisco's Mission Bay. Will it help the area's projected transformation into a destination for life sciences companies take off?

A three-story lab building catering to scientists could be coming to San Francisco's Dogpatch.

The building is envisioned to rise to three stories above ground with one below-ground level. The estimated cost is $40 million. Take a look at the renderings for their new San Francisco location, designed by MBH Architects, below. "We haven't abandoned it — but it's such a large project and the lab market in San Francisco, while it's beginning to get some lag, we felt like maybe it was a little too soon, a little premature," said Mollard.
