Women getting paid less than men who do the same job is a tale as old as time, but, thanks to the creator economy, that might be about to change.

Izea, an influencer marketing and research firm, released a report on equality in the creator economy and found that while 83% of influencer marketing deals in 2021 went to female creators, only 15% went to males. Izea also found women creators across most platforms made $962 per story while men made $609. This is clearly a result of women’s much higher engagement rates, indicating that the more engaging their content is, the more they earn.

To participate in the campaign, make a video or photo that shows your day-to-day victories. It could be anything that makes you a better version of yourself, for example, your work routine, an activity that you are passionate about, or a performance of your talent.
