The ‘Don’t Say Gay’ and Stop Woke legislation, which were a major part of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s re-election campaign, restricts discussion of sexual orientation, gender identity and structural racism in schools

at a gay nightclub in Colorado last weekend, the role of anti-LGBTQ political rhetoric in fomenting hate-driven violence is receiving renewed scrutiny.

Other large Gulfstream sums went to PACs supporting Wilton Simpson, the agriculture commissioner-elect and state Senate president who pushed the anti-LGBTQ and Stop Woke laws through the upper chamber ; the Florida Republican Senatorial Campaign ; and PACs run by Republican legislators Ben Albritton and Daniel Perez

Promoting Stop Woke, meanwhile, Mr. DeSantis insisted that Critical Race Theory, or having children learn about the history of slavery and institutional racism, was “teaching kids to hate our country.” In 2015, 2016 and 2017, Gulfstream played host to Taste of Equality, a food fair that raised money for Safe and Healthy Schools. The program promotes inclusion of LGBTQ kids and is run by Equality Florida, one of the main groups opposing the law.

They don't have the right. HaHa, made myself laugh.

Their money, their decision. How about some stories about how Trudeau is frivolously spending OUR money? Stop worrying about what people are doing with their own money.

You have to wonder sometimes.. these writers against protecting our children… do they have children of their own? We hope not.

At one time you could count on the Globe for a relatively balanced view of a story. Now it's the same rehash of stories with a left-leaning bias. If Florida is anti-LGBTQ, the person saying it has never been to South Beach.

What anti LGBTQ laws? I watch a lot of news, and haven’t seen anything like you claim. Do you mean wanting teachers to teach And not push gender identity?

How long did you have to look for this woke ? Are you proud?

They need to donate money up here. Our kids need to learn their A-B-C’s, not Critical Race Theory

Sad

And

The news outlets should stop equating “anti-grooming” with “anti-LGBTQ”. It’s homophobic and reveals what these progressive activists really believe.

What specific laws in the legislation are anti-lgbtq?

Propaganda Media openly calling things anti this or that (as opposed to what it's called or actually does) is getting out of hand.

What is anti-lgbtq about not teaching sexuality to grade 3 and under? What standards are you using?

That’s legal. And it’s a foreign sovereign country. Who donated to Black Lives Matter? To Antifa? The Globe is trying too hard to look woke. As their relevance declines. Mind your business here and stop accepting government money. It’s made you too Liberal. Capital “L”.

Good!
