We need more.....Lots more. If your not using them your missing out. Just watch the can food items, many times your local market has things a lot lower. Use your shopping skills and it all works out.

This article gives the wrong impression that Americans are forced to shop at Dollar stores because they’re poor and/or ‘inequality’. This is wrong. The one near me is suburban & hasnt put any local store out of business because of its presence. I like a bargain. It’s that simple.

No words

Leave it to WaPo to put an 'economic inequality' spin on this🙄. I’m not poor but I do like shopping at Dollar Tree. They sell birthday/holiday cards for $1, far cheaper than in supermarkets or drugstores. And that's just one of many examples I could cite.

Interesting point.

Because they literally benefit from that inequality.

My Dollar Tree is in a nice middle class neighborhood and is always packed. It's cheap for party decorations, napkins, foil pans and cleaning products. Maybe people are just learning to more wisely spend their money.

BUILDTHEWALL

Wife is a Store Manager of DT. Actually it’s Dollar Tree/ Family Dollar now but it’s a good company to work for.

You mean how to make a buck in the age of inequality

Please don't promote China, godamit

Signs the next recession is looming.

Dollar Tree is the best. It’s the only place a Mylar balloon, a box of Dots and a mop are the same price

How is this the age of inequality when everyone has access to iPhones, hospitals, etc. Maybe study history a little closer...

Just remember folks, the 'market' is not a measure of the economy - it's a measure of how well the rich people are doing. Most Americans have no investments and a large percentage shop at stores like WalMart and Dollar because wages have been shit for decades.
