Congress wants answers from the CEO of Ticketmaster’s parent company over the ticketing snafu ahead of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour

Congress wants answers from the CEO of Ticketmaster’s parent company after a ticketing snafu ahead of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour left millions of unhappy Swifties without the ability to see the singer-songwriter perform. In a letter addressed to Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino Tuesday, the House Energy and Commerce Committee demanded a briefing on what went wrong and what steps the company is taking to fix the problems. The committee members want to meet with Rapino by December 15.

” That unprecedented demand, combined with a “staggering number of bot attacks as well as fans who didn’t have invite codes” drove “unprecedented traffic” to its site, Ticketmaster said, and, essentially, broke it. But the House committee said the company’s explanation wasn’t sufficient. “This statement raises questions over your bot management solution and its ability to adequately protect consumers,” the committee wrote.

Congress needs to concentrate on actual issues that matter ie cost of living crisis, funding foreign wars and sky high gas prices. If people dont want to pay extortionate ticket prices, then don't. If they can afford to pay £100s with the coming recession, then more fool them...

SBF, Twitter/FBI, BALENCIAGA?

😂🤣😂🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼

Boycott Taylor Swift

If people are scrambling to pay frivolously for Taylor Swift tickets, then the economy isn't that bad, is it?

This seems like an important initiative for our government to attack to help the everyday lives of Americans

Congress oversees Taylor Swift access? Is that a constitutional right?

Congress and concert tickets, isn’t there more important $hit going on?

Fix the border, stop spending, elim 87k IRS agents funding, increase energy US production, reduce inflation!!! No one gives a shit about Taylor Swift tickets!

So nothing on how the Biden white house violated the 1st amendment rights of millions of Americans. Silencing the biggest corruption scandle in American history.

This is so much more important than the President’s son working for a natural gas company in Ukraine.

I’m glad to hear they’re finally tackling the problems of everyday Americans

Tickemaster should have just comped AOC some tickets.
