Course Hero has a new parent company.

Course Hero Inc. is taking a page from Google LLC, creating a parent company for itself and its collection of businesses.

Learneo will oversee not just Course Hero, but Scribbr, which offers a writing and plagiarism checker; study guides businesses LitCharts and CliffsNotes; Symbolab, which offers math study tools; and QuillBot, whose service automatically paraphrases text. The idea behind the corporate parent is to use it to acquire other businesses or to attract entrepreneurs to create additional learning or productivity services under its auspices, the company said in a press release.
