Southwest has added 8,000 new corporate accounts so far this year, according to Chief Commercial Officer Ryan Green.

those investments are now delivering returns even though business demand has yet to fully come back to pre-pandemic levels

"I think it's completely due to our GDS efforts and our Southwest Business team efforts," Jordan said.According to data presented by Southwest, its share of domestic bookings from travel management companies settled by the Airlines Reporting Corp. increased from less than 1% in the second quarter of 2020 to 6% at the end of last year. Currently, Southwest's share of bookings sits at 10%, according to the presentation.

Green also said expanding market share within managed business travel provides Southwest with"fly-wheel benefits" over time. When Southwest brings on new accounts, he said it gains the opportunity to try and get the employees of those companies to join its Rapid Rewards loyalty program and offer them credit cards.
