elliemail Tax executive bonuses inversely to the amount their company pays in tax, exec bonuses are payments for Execs creative ability with artificial tax avoidance schemes plus their ability to get ATO Directive 4’s by judicial political donations and Pollie retirement schemes auspol

You do understand tax is paid on profit not sales or income before expenses additionally individuals pay a higher rate of tax than companies and a CEO is an employee so can not divert income income a trust Accordingly. Your article is crap

That was a good decision. The CEO’s pay tax at MTR so their tax rate is higher than their company rate!

Does the Tax Commissioner have a tweet account?

elliemail and 300,000 age pensioners lose their pension

billshortenmp ScoMo why is this happening whilst you Tax the working class of Aus till they are crippled and talk of removal of benefits to investors?

At least i stayed employed

They aren't related

Both AusLabourPrty and AusLiberalParty could be doing something about this, but nothing will be done. auspol

You don't run a company to pay company tax...but there are a tonne of taxes and overheads paid in the general running of the business.

Is it right No

Institutionalised theft

This is disgusting our politicians are useless and self serving protecting their benefactors while slugging our good, honest, hard working Australian men and women. It is not optional to pay tax in Australia.... boycott the free loaders....

Again with this? runs this type of article every few months, reflecting more that their writers do not understand how corporate taxation works than anything else.

The REAL leaners!

You know companies pay tax on their profit, right?

I don't like it that they clearly make big profits out of us as well.

No wonder shareholders are voting against CEO salary-bonus packages. Tax payments are complex - yet it feels out of fair exchange when companies pay no / low tax, their people get low / no wages growth and they give big bonuses to execs FairExchange

If you invest your profits back into the business then you pay no tax. If you don't want companies to expand their businesses then they'll go bust and everyone loses. Stupid articles like this demean journalism.

Thats why they are where they are and we are not ....

Why are we always so surprised!

And paid how many thousands of employees?

FlatEarthGang And all the LNP could ever do was to get stuck into pensioners and those who worked outside normal hours.

Uhm that's because you pay taxes on profits and not turnover (well you do....but it doesn't help your click bait article so we'll ignore that point). -

great diversity there to!

grantkeats Funny that...

That's why they were paid bonuses; they devised new ways to minimise their company tax while at the same time whinging about penalty rates and a company tax rate they never actually came close to paying.

Why the hell do they get heavily discounted rates or pay zero tax 😡!

See this is disgusting. It cannot continue to happen. Theives.

Will this pass the pub test?

Yep. Yet their workers won’t be paid penalty rates. Seems fair.....

If they aren't profitable enough to pay tax they aren't profitable enough to pay bonuses. Bonuses should be conditional on paying tax.

Are you getting Emma Albareci to write your stuff? Pathetic
