Scottsdale-based Caliber Cos. is in the process of building a new multifamily complex and repurposing an aging hotel for new apartments in the Phoenix area.

On about three acres, the company is planning to develop a new single-family rental complex with 88 units, with two and three-bedroom options that are two stories each. Brian Snider, senior vice president of real estate for Caliber Cos. said that a lot of hotel activity has occurred several interchanges south of the property at Chandler Boulevard and I-10, where InTown Suites, Chandler Hospitality Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton are currently operating close to the Loop 202.
