The body-cam footage is harrowing. A Florida police officer, who had discovered what she believed to be fentanyl during a routine traffic stop last week, is seen lying on the ground and struggling to breathe. After a fellow officer administers medication that is used to counteract the effects of opioids, paramedics arrive and rush the ill officer to a local hospital where she ultimately makes a recovery.
Leana Wen, an emergency physician and CNN medical analyst. Wen explained that opioids “are not well-absorbed through the skin except through prolonged exposure” and, outside biowarfare situations, are “not aerosolized and inhaled through the air.” Data also suggests that first responders featured in such stories have likely not suffered a fentanyl overdose.
this is embarrassing on two counts. first, you are that news org - it's YOU who's been pushing this propaganda for years. second, I think people are starting to notice that CNN & NYT are clumsily stealing & fearfully pruning content from Last Week Tonight, with like 1 month delay
😔
Leave it to Ollie to water down the concern about cops being killed. Par for the CNN course.
So, is CNN saying there should not be a fear of fentanyl among police officers who take it off of dirty dope dealers?
fiends love a fentanyl bag
'Anyone responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president. Not a joke!' Joe Biden
Hey they took away my lifetime prescription of vicodin because white women like my ex wife was overdosing on it and nobody cared. Haven't been able to get any for close to 10 years. It's only fair that this one now faces the same fate. Take away what I need now you can lose yours
CHINA is supplying it through MEXICO & our border is WIDE OPEN! THAT’S the problem.
I'm completely fine with officers ODing.
Are you trying to paint the picture that the police aren’t wearing gloves? The police are ingesting drugs and dying along with addicts
Heard that Sridhar's armpit has the same effect
Strange. Don't you have to ingest the med?
This headline should actually read “without evidence, claims public safety officials experiencing overdose to fentanyl exposure on the job were experiencing anxiety attacks.”
Among all other things including CoViD deaths. 🤡🥱💤
Incredible story by downplaying the exposure risks to first responders from the dangerous drugs being allowed into the country by the Biden Cartels. What is the purpose for such a story?! Just disgusting!
Then stop the source! DAH
Sadly, due to the opioid crisis people who legitimately suffer from pain issues are being demonized denied treatment and left to suffer. This is completely unacceptable and must change. ♿✊🏼✊🏾
and you report this to what? lemme guess..... illegal immigration isn't so baaaaaadddd..... and these illegal aliens bringing in enough 'F' to kill the entire population of America isn't so baaaaaaadddd... right? right? you know it is....
Leave it to CNN to say 'Nothing to see here. Fontana is safe. Stop lying Fox News'. How is CNN still on the air? CNN IS the least trusted news on TV and in print.
