A cosmetics company born in San Francisco is moving from Potrero Hill to Union Square.

Taking advantage of the copious amounts of sublease space in San Francisco, a cosmetics company born in the city is moving its headquarters to Union Square.and now owned by Unilever, has subleased 13,500 square feet at 201 Post St. Cartier occupies the street-level space in the 12-story building, which is owned by an affiliate of Trinity Properties.

"As choices were abundant, my function became less about finding functional office space and more about brand placement and economics," said James, who added that the company had seen a"steady deterioration" in its previous neighborhood due to quality-of-life issues.
