President Cyril Ramaphosa says a team of independent experts is conducting a diagnosis of the problems at poorly performing power stations and taking action to improve plant performance.

He says they have identified six power stations over the next few months to recover additional capacity. This is contained in today’s instalment of the President’s weekly letter to the nation.

However, President Ramaphosa says government is committed to reduce the severity of these blackouts on households and businesses. The President also says Eskom has imported 300 megawatts of capacity from neighbouring countries with negotiations under way to secure an additional 1000 megawatts and to buy surplus power from companies with available generation capacity for a period of three years.

Y ddnt he do dat long before people try tke action hes just stalling

I hope he's appointed a task team!!

Team of experts!

Even Kenya has loadshedding but probably not as much as here.

Independent experts mean another backhand tender with another overpriced contract for more government officials getting kickbacks. I wonder how long it's going to take them to sort out the furniture in their office before they move on to the daily catering order?

After profiting from a weekly investment, I must say that everyone should stop falling for huge thousands, a lot has promised and failed from a hundred investments. MarkMaynardq is the best. Your income depends on your capital, trade with who is guaranteed of profit return.

Easy fix just fire ANC and yourself

Who are these Experts?

Mr. Promises from the day he took office al we always hear is promises. Unfortunately he hasn’t got the guts to implement it.

Talk talk

We have Minister's that are promoted by our fellow Mr President Energy and Transport but if you look at it really? South Africans we need Spiritual eyes to See things and who are the people leading us Eyes that can see through beyond and wisdom to introspect

The cANCer of South Africa

Sê die ! Sê daai ! Bly sê , maar ons sien niks.

Why would we believe this nonsense

🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤙🏻🤙🏻

A little too late, in the past citizens would find comfort knowing there is a plan in place, but too much has been promised with no result, in fact, each time we are worse off. Let’s talk about the “loadshedding will be a thing of the past” statement made years back?

Just hire people to do the job eskom staff is supposed to do. Where is the logic

So this its been happening for almost 5 years of not more its only now he's sending the team of experts to conduct diagnosis, yah neh we are realy led by someone who knows nothing

Blah blah blah....same story...different year. South-Africans are tired of these false stories. Het rid if the ANC!!!

Only now ? What have they been doing since 2008 ? Nothing, is probably the best answer.

Dirty liar

Im n nurse i now whats wrong ,they nèed KFC,just like the cops by the garages.

Only now? When did this crisis start yesterday ( sarcasm yes).

After 28 years of looting the parastatal? Who's he trying to fool?

It's all the staff from bottom to top

Too little way too late

surely this guy has an advisor to tell him this is redundant. he just keeps spitting on the South African community's face!

ANC theft is causing the loadshedding. Don't worry they have until voting day to wreck the country. Then we can make South Africa great again. I can't wait. The future seems brighter knowing that the ANC is going to fall hard.

eskomsalaryshedding over 40 000 employees and nobody can fix the problem, and now they got more money, let's start salary shedding at Eskom and see how quickly they fix the problem Eskomsalaryshedding instead of punishing the people who pay their bills.

Amazing!Last year the newly elected Eskom board also they would be doing an assessment that will take 3 months. Well 3 months have passed and nothing! And now the President is doing the same! We need action not more reports, committtees that yield nothing!

Same old song time and again

brilliant, we are so relieved - someone give Cyril a knighthood

Same old song , in 2019 they brought Italy engineers but we are still in the dark, this problem is too much for him and his advisors.

Lies lies
