Some analysts praised the progress while others warned that much more is needed.

As global supply chain bottlenecks amid the pandemic have weighed on China's economy and hindered U.S. access to key parts, the need for a fix has gained added urgency, some analysts said.

By dramatically expanding U.S. clean energy production, the Inflation Reduction Act, or IRA, will help the nation circumvent a fragile global supply chain and return it to a trajectory of robust growth, industry representatives and some analysts said. "We've had nothing but support from our elected officials," he said. "We've found there's universal support for manufacturing jobs and pretty wide support for a diversified and cleaner energy mix."

The law hamstrings itself, Jacobson said, since it includes tax credits for what he says are unproven technologies like carbon capture, a way of reducing emissions at their source by trapping and storing carbon before it releases into the air. Such tax credits are "basically taking money away from real solutions," he said. The market will limit the use of credits for technology that proves ineffective, limiting that potential waste, said Hensley, of American Clean Power.

Upload to the grid is possible when one has a state wide grid ?

Every place has different optimal method for non conventional energy .

SunXi17201546 Oh the fraud.

Your climate experts are organized criminals. Read a science book amd you will see the climate has changed many times throughout history. Man cannot change the weather people!

Nuclear power is better than those bird killers. Says the King!

How much oil does it take to run one wind turbine?

Climate change is a grift.

let me guess, they want more of our tax dollars to go into Bill Gates, Bloombergs, Gores and Kerry's 'green' investments what a shock....

Let’s just ignore these “experts”

'Experts' 'Investment' I wonder if there is some kind of connecting factor.

I’ve been saying this all along. We need another build back bull shit for Democratic kick backs. Thanks for kicking off the narrative.

Newsflash: The World needs Tar, Oil, Gasoline and Coal. Deal.

Back in the 80's before climate change, half the people in our neighborhood had wind turbines. They sold the extra electric they didn't need to the power company. People do not understand how much that would save them over time, plus make free wind money.

We all knew this already. Biden is a traitor.

Not some; pretty much all.

Solar panels only last about 25 years. We are already at the stage where we need to start replacing older investments. This is going to turn into an endless cycle of more investment needed just to maintain what we have. Not to mention, most are made in China right now..

Those suck.

How does one become a climate expert? How many climate experts are there? 20? 50? Are they gods? Demigods? Omnipotent?

So he wastes tax dollars on this unreliable source of energy? Further proof his is awful. Especially on a bill to 'reduce inflation....

'China, the source of more than 80% of components in all of the key stages of solar production' 25 years is about the average lifespan of a solar pannel. So we are about to hit the point of replacing panels currently producing power from previous investments. Endless cycle now..

We would have to cover 50% of our land in solar and wind to generate enough power. It's stupid and unattainable.

Ok will someone write in crayon to these climate people that going green would use up more natural resources than we’re using now by triple

School funding

Sure. We can afford it. Sure. 31 Trillion.

If you get yore science from the government, yore doing science wrong…

None of this makes economic sense. Truly innovative and disruptive tech does not require massive gov spending
